This is Bethel

Bethel Church is all about three things.

Jesus said “The most important commandment is this: you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.  The second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.  No other commandment is greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31)

Jesus said "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

This three-fold vision of Bethel Church is biblical, simple, basic, and it is uncomplicated.

We love God by placing a priority on public worship and spending intentional time with God on a daily basis. Our worship services at Bethel Church, Sundays (in-person) 10 AM, and Wednesdays (on-line with Facebook Live)

We love people by building redemptive relationships in group Bible studies, fellowship groups.  These Bible studies include small groups of 8 to 12 people who meet monthly in homes, and at the church, also Sunday School class on Sunday mornings. (Paused right now)

We serve the world in Christ’s name by meeting the needs of people in our church, neighborhoods and the world. We work together as the larger church group to give support of time and financial offerings to local ministries and international missionaries. We believe God planted Bethel Church in Nevada County to be a blessing.  Because He loves, we love. Because He gives, we give. We are on mission to invest time, energy, prayer, money, and love into our communities to make our area all they can be – for the glory of God and the good of humanity. It is our hope and prayer that as we do this, Jesus’ love will be seen and people will come into a relationship with Him.
